Welcome to the 68th season of the Lander Community Concerts Association. This season we are proud to present eight performances with artists from around the world coming to Lander to share their talents.
Our season kicks off September 14th with Stringfever from London, performing on electric string instruments, then October 5th Todd Green will share his music from many cultures around the world playing over 30 acoustic instruments. The University of Wyoming Helio Trio of faculty musicians will share their classical talents on November 9th, and on November 23rd the Crosswind Trio will combine a unique sound of chamber music and humor. Our only Saturday performance is January 23rd when the BYU Young Ambassadors return with America's favorite heart songs from popular musicals and artists like Michael Buble. We'll host musicians from New Orleans on February 8th with Night in Old New Orleans - they will thrill you with the big easy sounds of yesteryear. Chicago sends us the Deeply Rooted Dance Theater on April 4th for contemporary and African American dance. We end our season on April 20th with a performance of Jason Bishop, an illusionist who=ll use projection screens for our audience to have a clear view of every detail of his grand illusions.
Our concerts are at the Lander Valley High School auditorium. Seating is available beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the program starts at 7:00 p.m. Plan to come early to allow for parking time and getting settled in the comfortable seating for a great evening of entertainment.
We are pleased to be able to hold season tickets at the same pricing it has been for six years. The adult tickets are $60 per season, student ticket is $25 per season, or the family deal is $135 for two adult tickets and as many student tickets (under age 21) as you have in your family. With eight shows offered this season, that is an amazing value. Ticket prices at the door for a single performance are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
Thanks to the wonderful contributions made by our sponsors and supporters like you, we all continue to support the performing arts. It is always appreciated if you consider giving a little extra when you purchase your tickets. Please review the donation levels and give what you can. We especially appreciate donations to LCCA during the Challenge for Charities campaign, which makes your dollars go even further!
Check out our website at landerconcerts.org for an overview of each concert and to access links to the performers' own websites for further details. Then go mark your calendar for entertainment you can count on over the next eight months.
